| | This started out as a proposal to create an ocean scene in the windows of The Clipper, a cafe that used to be a drinking den on Union Street in Plymouth.
This is for the temporary "take over" of The Clipper by Plymouth College of Art.
My proposal was accepted but I was asked to modify the theme to reflect the College's campaign for social justice.
After some brain-storming at Rhizome, the artist collective I'm now a member of, the idea of getting people to write messages on cut-outs of bottles emerged.

| | | This was the night view of original idea, before the "message in a bottle" idea emerged.
We're retaining the overall ocean theme - tinting the windows blue, adding rocks, coral and some fish - but adding the bottles in the bottom window.

| | | Here's what The Clipper looks like in the daylight. It's owned by Nudge Community Builders, a really interesting community benefit society that's aiming on rejuvinating Stonehouse, a deprived area of Plymouth.

| | | After 2 days we were running out of window space for the bottles.
