Past Work - Cascade

I consider this to be the second largest example of my art - the largest being my whole garden.

Cascade in the garden of Sythe House, designed by Peter Heywood  Cascade under construction by Jeremy Lane and Chris

It all started with me being offered 4 huge slabs of slate from an old rectory kitchen floor, for £100.

Jeremy (pictured above) persuaded me to let him help me collect them and move them up behind the house - quite a feat because the largest slab probably weighed more than quarter of a ton.

I'm particularly pleased with the ingenious way I got water to run down the cascade.  I made use of the existing pump in a rainwater harvesting system I've got under the patio.
